What the repair includes
We disassemble and measure the MacBook as needed and find the cause of the fault. You get a description of the fault and a repair quote. With Express repair, diagnostics is free if the repair stays within the agreed budget.
How standard and express diagnostics work
Apple has listed the 12-inch MacBook (2015–2017) as an obsolete model since October 2026. Genuine parts and Apple service are no longer available. These MacBooks have no fan and the storage is soldered to the logic board, so after years of use the board or the storage may stop working unexpectedly, unrelated to the repair.
