Cleaning & Maintenance

Regular care that extends the life of your device

Why maintenance matters

Electronics need regular maintenance to keep working as they should. Dust, dirt and aging thermal paste can cause overheating, slowdowns and shortened component lifespan - whether it's a MacBook, gaming console or Windows laptop.

Better cooling

Clean fans and heatsinks ensure efficient heat dissipation

Higher performance

Without overheating, the processor runs at full power

Longer lifespan

Prevention of component wear caused by overheating

What the service includes

What the service covers

Removal of dust and dirt from the cooling system

Thermal paste replacement

Optional add-on service - recommended especially for older devices

Visual component inspection

Inspection of battery, cables, connectors, and board inside the device

Port cleaning

Cleaning of charging and audio ports from dust

Display and body polishing

Cleaning and polishing of the external surface

Screw and fastener check

Tightening any loose connections

What is thermal paste and why replace it?

Thermal paste is a special material applied between the processor (or GPU) and the heatsink inside the device. Its purpose is to transfer heat from the chip to the cooling system as efficiently as possible. Over time, the paste dries out and loses its effectiveness - causing the device to overheat, slow down, or the fans to spin louder. We recommend replacing it approximately every 2–3 years.

On newer MacBooks, replacing the paste is more involved because the entire logic board must be removed from the chassis. That's why we offer paste replacement as an optional add-on to the standard cleaning service.

When is it time for maintenance?

Preventively

  • Every 12–18 months with regular use
  • After buying an older or used device
  • Before a demanding period (work, school)
  • If you can't remember the last maintenance

When problems arise

  • Device is overheating
  • Fans are running loudly
  • System is slowing down
  • Laptop or console shuts down on its own

Cleaning and maintenance FAQ

How often should a MacBook or laptop be cleaned?

With regular use, we recommend maintenance roughly every 12 to 18 months. Older or heavily used devices may need it sooner.

Can cleaning help with loud fans?

Often yes, if the cause is dust, clogged cooling or old thermal paste. If the issue is hardware-related, we recommend further diagnostics.

Do you also replace thermal paste?

Yes, for suitable models we offer it as an add-on service. On newer MacBooks it is more involved because the entire logic board often has to be removed.

Do I need to book cleaning in advance?

We recommend booking or checking with us shortly beforehand. Some models need more time or add-on work such as thermal paste replacement.
