What should I do if I spill something on my MacBook?

Power it off immediately by holding the power button, unplug the charger, flip it screen-down and bring it to the shop as soon as possible. Don't dry it at home, don't power it on, don't use rice - minerals and sugar in the liquid keep corroding the board until we properly clean it.

Is it worth repairing an older MacBook?

For common repairs (battery, keyboard, cleaning) the repair is usually significantly cheaper than a new machine. For logic board damage we quote first so you can decide whether to proceed.

Can the battery be replaced in glued-in MacBooks (Retina, M1, M2, M3)?

Yes. For glued top cases we replace either the battery itself (more affordable) or the full topcase with keyboard (faster). We pick the path based on model and part availability.

My MacBook will not turn on. Can I mail it in and what does it cost?

If your MacBook Air or MacBook Pro will not turn on or start up, macDoktor in Brno starts with standard diagnostics for 890 CZK and proposes a repair price for your approval. Bring your MacBook in or mail it using the Send a device form: GLS collection costs 199 CZK up to 10 kg, or Packeta costs 129 CZK up to 5 kg. The same rates apply to return shipping, and the customer pays for transport in both directions. We confirm the repair date only after diagnostics and checking part availability.

Will I lose data during the repair?

Common repairs (battery, keyboard, display, cleaning) leave your data untouched. For logic board or SSD repairs we discuss backup or data recovery separately.
