Display refurbishing: we replace only the cracked glass
When only the glass cracks and the display underneath works, the whole display does not have to be replaced. We replace the cracked glass with new glass directly on your display. We do this for iPhone and iPad, and for Apple Watch on request.
How the refurbishing works
We separate the cracked glass from the display and replace it with new glass. The panel and the touch layer stay yours.
- When it is possible: the display under the glass has to work: the picture has no defects and touch responds.
- Repair time: 5–10 business days. A partner service does the refurbishing for us.
- Price: it usually costs less than a replacement with an original display. You will find the price in the price list for your model, under Display glass replacement.
What you gain
You keep your original display and everything tied to it.
- iPhone: does not show an unknown part message in Settings, because the display stays its own.
- iPad and Apple Pencil: on iPad Pro (2018 and later), iPad Air 4 and 5 and iPad mini 6 the display is paired with that specific iPad at the factory. After replacing the whole display, even with an original one, Apple Pencil may draw slightly wavy diagonal lines. Refurbishing your own display is the only way to avoid that.
What to expect
The refurbishing may not succeed, and there is no way to tell in advance. If it does not, you pay only for the diagnostics and we offer you a full display replacement.
When refurbishing is not possible
If the display under the glass does not work, it cannot be refurbished and the whole display has to be replaced. The part options we offer are explained on Original and aftermarket parts.
Cracked display glass?
You can come in without an appointment. We look at the display and tell you whether refurbishing is possible.
