PS5 HDMI port replacement
The PlayStation 5 turns on, but the TV says there is no signal. Or someone tripped over the cable and the port broke off. We replace the connector, repair torn-out pads on the board and, when needed, the HDMI chip too.

Before you bring it in
- Try a different HDMI cable and a different input on the TV.
- Turn the console on from off by holding the power button until the second beep. It starts in Safe Mode, where you can lower the resolution.
- Shine a light into the port. Bent or missing pins mean the connector needs replacing.
- Nothing helped? Bring it in or send it. Pack the cable too and we'll test that as well.
What not to do: Don't force the cable into the port or bend it to get a picture. You'll tear more pads off the board and the repair will cost more.

Open and inspect
We take the console apart and look at the connector and the pads under it with a microscope.
Replace the connector
We desolder the old connector and solder in a new one.
Rebuild torn pads
If the pads came off with the port, we rebuild them and reconnect them to the signal traces on the board.
The HDMI chip, only when needed
If there is still no picture with a new port, we measure around the HDMI chip. We replace it only with your consent. Over the last two years that was needed on two PS5s out of 26.
Clean it and renew the liquid metal
On request we clean the console and put fresh liquid metal on the main chip. With the PS5 already open, more than half of customers add it.

Our price list starts HDMI port replacement at 2,790 Kč. With torn pads on the board or a faulty HDMI chip, the repair costs more. Diagnostics cost 690 Kč and we repair nothing without your approval.
If the repair isn't worth it, we buy the console from you for parts.

How long does it take?
We usually replace the port in 2 to 3 days. If we have to order an HDMI chip, it takes longer.
Another shop replaced the port and there is still no picture. Can it be fixed?
Usually, yes. After a botched replacement there are often torn pads or broken signals on the board. We rebuild them under a microscope.

What warranty do you give?
12 months on the HDMI port replacement. Cleaning carries no separate warranty.
Can I send the console by post?
Yes, through the Send a device form. Zásilkovna (Packeta) to us costs 129 CZK and back to a pickup point 149 CZK. The parcel can weigh at most 5 kg; send a heavier console with your own carrier.
